Using infrared heaters

In this article, we will talk about heating the house with infrared radiation. Independent research and certificates of the manufacturers confirmed harmless to humans, the impact of this type of heaters.

Produced mainly ceiling mounting devices for almost any room, with the energy carrier can be only electricity. Still, other IR radiation devices use natural gas, with floor or wall mounting methods.

The radiant element is a heater installed in a box of unique non-combustible material. The surface of the heater is covered with a means providing the most significant emission of radiant heat energy. It should note that the bumpy surface increases the radiating surface up to 3 times.

The technology of heat transfer of infrared heaters

As declared by manufacturers, the cost of using infrared heating is 25% lower than convector by reducing the cost of heating the room's ceiling, local or zonal heating, and optimizing the comfortable temperature.

The physics of this process is that thermal radiation is electromagnetic energy. The power of the heat flux and its characteristics depend on the temperature and surface of the radiating objects. Any heated body emits infrared waves. We do not see infrared waves, our eyes do not distinguish them, but we can feel the heat from the restless body. For a person, more comfortable IR waves that emit a body with a temperature of 90 ° C, for example, a fireplace or a fire, emit more rigid IR radiation, forcing us to stay away from them at a certain distance. The use of heaters with a higher surface temperature (up to 950 ° C ) is allowed for open heating areas, balconies with a height of more than 3 meters.

Radiant ceiling panels are designed to heat rooms of any class and volume. Low-temperature heaters 80-100ºC with a capacity of up to 700 W are installed on low ceilings up to 2.2 m. more powerful panels from 1800 to 3500 W. The temperature of the emitting surface up to 300ºC are mounted at the height of 3 meters. With the correct calculation of the room and the installation of the desired, suitable for the parameters of the heater, you can achieve a very comfortable temperature of the air that does not create a draft formed by convection.

There are infrared heaters where the heat source is a halogen lamp. The advantage of such devices is that the heat is released immediately after the light. Heating large non-residential premises, the organization of temporary heating, and creating the desired temperature in outdoor areas are some of the applications of lamps with IR radiation.

It should be noted that there are devices with dual function applications, the so-called convective-heat wave heaters. Heating occurs in two ways: infrared heating and convection, when two heat sources are combined in one device, and they complement each other, obeying the commands of the control unit. The primary method of heating - infrared, but if necessary, automatically turns on convective heating, thereby ensuring the creation of temperature in the room, exposed automation.

Infrared heating is the latest achievement in direct electric heating and has proved high in environmental performance. Although the heat is formed on the surface with a temperature of up to 120 ° C in residential areas, the heat flow is entirely harmless compared to the fireplace's flame.
